* Giving to TLRI *
TOTAL LEARNING RESEARCH INSTITUTE. Inc. is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) education and scientific organization. Incorporated under the laws of West Virginia in June, 1989. The work of TLRI is supported in a variety of ways:
1. Program Development
TLRI develops educational programs and services and then makes them available to educational institutions and education and management professionals. A hallmark of TLRI education programs is that they are designed, once developed, to be self supporting. This produces business model different from many educational development organizations whose programs survive only as long as the funding is provided. TLRI and its management team have developed programs that have been running through self-support for over fifteen years. The model was verified by a Harvard Business School Case Study.
Sponsors for program development are recognized in a variety of appropriate ways. Past contributors have included: The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, the National Space Club, the Evans-Gilruth Foundation, and the American Astronautical Society.
Current programs in development, or being updated include the SPACE EXPLORERS program, the SPACE EXPLORERS Impact Program, MARS CITY, and the Teaming group of programs and services.
2. Research and Program Grants
TLRI has a history of high quality research and development of educational programs for a variety of Federal, state and local entities (Please see our client list). Programs that support and reinforce our strategic direction are always considered. TLRI has proved itself innovative in approaches to educational efforts, and has developed curriculum, distance learning programs, e-learning programs, and professional development programs.
3. Operating Grants
Like any other non-profit organization, help is gratefully accepted for general operations and program support. TLRI uses technology extensively to maintain a virtual consulting capability, and a wide network of expertise and resources. Our efforts are to put every dollar into our program imperatives and keep overhead to a minimum. A little goes a long way for our organization.
